At A Giant’s Early Learning Center, we believe everyday themes make learning exciting! During Transportation Week, our children explored cars, buses, planes, and trains while building creativity, problem-solving, and social skills.
🚘 Exploring the Classroom

Children used crafts and pretend play to discover how vehicles work. They built, painted, and played with transportation toys that turned into endless adventures.
Why it matters: Pretend play builds imagination, fine motor skills, and helps children connect what they see in the community to classroom learning.
🎨 Dramatic Play & Car Wash Fun

Our dramatic play areas turned into busy stations—like a classroom “car wash”—where children role-played real-life experiences.
What we teach: These activities strengthen communication, teamwork, and cooperation while making learning playful and memorable.
🌍 Travel Day Adventure

The highlight of the week was Travel Day! Cardboard vehicles, themed music, and a pretend airport or station gave children the chance to “travel” together.
Why we do it: Immersive activities like this spark imagination, encourage social growth, and help children understand how their world works.
📚 Everyday Learning for Families

We encouraged families to keep the learning going at home by sharing transportation-themed book lists and simple ideas like spotting different vehicles on the way to school.
At-home tip: Next time you’re out, ask your child: “How many wheels does that bus have?” or “Where do you think that plane is going?”
At AGELC, Transportation Week was more than fun—it was an opportunity to connect real-world experiences with early learning, building curiosity and confidence for the road ahead.
