At A Giant’s Early Learning Center, we know that healthy habits don’t just happen—they’re modeled, practiced, and reinforced over time. During Healthy Habits Week, we introduced our children to fun, age-appropriate ways to take care of their bodies—and invited families to join us in building those routines at home too.

Learning Healthy Habits in Action

Throughout the week, our children practiced:
✔️ Proper handwashing techniques
✔️ Brushing teeth with guidance
✔️ Preparing and trying healthy snacks
✔️ Moving their bodies through dance, stretches, and games.

Why we do this: Young children thrive on routine, and hands-on practice builds confidence. By turning health skills into fun, they become habits that stick.

Hygiene Stations & Healthy Choices

We set up classroom hygiene stations and healthy snack prep tables so children could explore these habits in real time. Teachers guided conversations about germs, food groups, and the importance of staying active.

What we’re teaching: That taking care of your body is something you do—and something to be proud of.

“Healthy Me Day” Celebration

🧽 A handwashing demo

🥕 A fruit and veggie taste test

🎶 A dance party to celebrate all we’d learned.

These fun events helped children connect healthy habits with joy, not pressure.

At A Giant’s ELC, we’re not just teaching children what to do—we’re helping them understand why it matters. By turning everyday routines into positive learning experiences, we build the foundation for strong bodies, confident choices, and lifelong wellness.
