At A Giant’s ELC, we believe music is more than just a moment of fun—it’s a powerful way to help children grow, express themselves, and learn in joyful, creative ways!

Here’s how we made every beat count during Music Makers Week:

  1. Exploring Sound & Rhythm

Playtime = jam time!
This week, our little learners discovered the basics of music through:

  • Shakers, rhythm sticks, and DIY drums

  • Hands-on fun with beats, tempos, and musical patterns

  • Group songs and circle time chants to build listening and participation
  • 🎶 “Can you tap the beat with me?” and “Shake your shaker high!” helped children connect sound to movement while building coordination.

    2. Big Stage Moments in Mini Performances

Our students lit up the classroom with confidence and creativity through:

  • Solo and group music activities

  • Free movement and freeze dance fun

  • Class performances shared with families online
  • 📹 These sweet performances let parents see their child shine—and highlighted their growth in expression, rhythm, and teamwork.

    3. Mini Music Fest Magic

Families were invited to cheer on our young stars during a classroom Mini Music Fest—a celebration filled with:

    • Performances using homemade instruments
    • Classroom concerts with big smiles and big sound
    • Fun, festive moments that brought our school family together.

🥁 From rice-shaker songs to tissue box guitars, every performance was a hit!

    4. Making Music at Home

The rhythm didn’t stop at school! We shared ideas for families to keep the music going:

  • Make-your-own tambourines, drums, and rain sticks

  • Tips for hosting family dance parties in the living room

  • Songs to sing, move, and connect together
  • 💡 Music at home builds memories—and boosts language, motor skills, and joy!

💛 Let’s Keep the Beat Going!
Music is a magical part of our learning journey at A Giant’s ELC.
It brings out confidence, boosts brain development, and gives children a joyful way to explore the world around them.
